"This book was probably the best one I have ever read
while searching for a job."
Hi,
Joe:
First of all, your
book "Job Search Secrets Unlocked" is awesome. I had two
interviews today at the same place, for different
positions. The second interview went very well, and I was
offered the job on the spot. I start tomorrow morning
at 8am. This book was probably the best one I have ever read while
searching for a job. It's been about three weeks, since I received
your book, but just finished the part on interviewing
yesterday.
Thanks again,
Dee

"landed a new
job within 3 weeks..."
Hi Joe
I read all of your book and have landed a new job
within 3 weeks. It seamed that everytime I was going for
an interview, one of your tips came across my mind- I would
incorporate the tip in my interview process.
Thank you for the book- I have passed it on to my daughter- who has
also landed a new job.
Sincerely,
Myrna F.-----new in North
Carolina. |

Joe--
My heartfelt thanks and appreciate go to you for your timely words
of wisdom, suggestions and tips. These came just at the right time
for me. I had been laid off from my job and spent the next two
weeks trapped in sorrow, and having the biggest pity party for
myself. I'm not sure how I got on your mailing list but thank god I
did. I found myself eagerly looking forward to your daily email in
my in box and read it through and through, linking out to other
articles.
I took the bull by the horns with my resume and cover letter, and
focused on disecting the positive about it, and throwing out the
negative. As a result of my resume re-vamp, my phone and email box
or now busy. The benefits of networking with colleagues, neighbors,
friends, members of professional groups I belong to, etc and
leads---good leads and connections are pouring in.
I got a job offer yesterday which I did --in the meantime, I am
continuing to interview (have one today and several next week), and
if a better offer comes along I will consider it.
Once again, thank you sooooooooooo very much for your very valuable
information---PRICELESS as they say.
Thank you so much for getting me out of the slumps and on with my
action plan. I knew all along I could do it--you just gave me that
extra little kick in the arse that I needed to get myself
moving.
Regards,
Heather Donnelly |

Dear Mr. Turner:
I've read your blog and e-newletters for about a year and YOUR
ADVICE WORKS!
I am finishing my Ph.D. and, living in the Washington DC area, I
wanted to apply my skills and training in a federal job. But the
federal world is a tough nut to crack and, although there are many
jobs, getting hired is a difficult, extensive process.
I didn't know if your techniques would work in the federal system
but, while working as a temporary contractor at SAMHSA, I tried
them anyway.
Because of your suggestions and approach, I could literally BYPASS
the sluggish federal system and collaborate with decisionmakers to
get me hired into the perfect federal job quickly.
Thank you for sharing your advice with us and encouraging us to
believe there is a better way to find a job.
Thanks again,
Michelle Carnes |

Joe,
Good news. I secured my summer internship at Chevron Corp. I will
be in their headquarters office at San Ramon, CA.
I must acknowledge that your tips, advice and methodology has
immensely helped me. Just before interview day, I received your
email on "28 questions to ask to interviewer" and I couldn't have
asked for more. Again, what you say just happened to me and I was
so comfortable during interview having done the homework right.
Thank you so much Joe !

Dearest Joe,
Wow! I'm so pleasantly surprised to have first, just noticed you
actually responded to my 'desparate plea' for some of your valued
commentary...and second, to recognized that you actually read and
responded to my
email with such direct candor, insight, and as far as I'm
concerned, absolutely terrific advice!
Thanks so much Joe. To read what you had to say in relation to my
many challenges, accomplishments and future potential, let alone
love for life and burning desire to contribute what I know I can
and have to date...I believe you've helped me reaffirm my own
sentiments, which are too, along the same lines as your wife's
(don't think too small)...

Hi Joe,
I landed a job with an IT corporation last month.
Thank you again for all your helpful information, it made a

Joe,
I just landed what I think is a great job in sales advertising
thanks to all your email help. I was able to better prepare for the
interview and the questions asked in the interview. Your direct
answers and tips were very timely for me. The little things like
the chat links that are in your emails were of great help. I read
through all kinds links and the questions and answers that people
posted. I learned a lot of valuable information on how to sit,
dress, how gestures are interpreted and how people answered those
tough questions, like your strenghts and weaknesses, some were
pretty funny.
I will pass on your information to anyone I come across looking for
help. Your emails were a life saver for me. I was in the same job
for 23 years. These new fangled job search ways and rules totally
passed me by, I was lost and didn't even know it : ). I am in my
late forties with a son in college and a mortgage. I was out of
work and looking for 2 years, it's not the greatest market for
someone my age looking to (anywhere close to) replace my past
income to just be able to survive, plus I have wrist problems due
to my last job (thank you very much). I am very thankful that I
came across your information and deceided to give it a try. My
families 2007 is going to be great!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family,

Hello Joe Turner,
I totally impressed by your well-written articles and practical
information; I've forwarded your Website onto my friends and
daughters, who are either job-seeking or interviewing others for
jobs. Either side of the desk, your information is priceless!
Leslie Ferree,
I'll look forward to reading your rich tips (all stacked up nicely
in my Cyberspace In-drawer)...
Smiles to you, Leslie Ferree |

Dear Mr. Turner:
I am switching careers…
I have felt like a piece of dirt for the past 7 months. I can't
type,
I have no fungible skills etc.
Your points have made me laugh, made sense, and calmed me down
about
my prospects.
I'm still a pretty hard sell, but I'm fairly sure an HR person with
flexibilty and imagination will be interested. I no longer feel
I'll be working at a fast food place with a Masters degree, or be
cleaning houses.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I have 2 very good
interviews
coming up tomorrow and will use all your tips. And although I
don't
have a job in sight I believe a decent one is waiting for me.
I know you probably prefer to sell books than get compliments, but
I'm
grateful for the free bits I've seen.
Thank you for your generosity

I have just changed jobs, was in terrific form
during the interview and managed to shake off fierce competition
from otherwise better qualified and experienced job seekers.
Thank you so much for the courses, they're quite helpful

Joe, Thank you for providing the job tips.
"The five questions that you must answer" were all asked during my
interview. Thanks to you I was well prepared. I followed up with a
thank-you card, with a note similar to your suggestion.
Thanks again

Hi Joe,
Is this really you? If so, I am honored that you
responded to my questions at all, especially with such
an in-depth reply.
I can relate to the "tell a story" part. I found this
method to work best when I had to do numerous
presentations in college. I would get so
discombobulated I would sometimes skip class the day a
presentation was due. This action, or lack thereof,
hurt my grade and my self esteem.
I finally mastered the problem by turning something
impersonal into something personal, making it my own,
therefore relevant and easy for me to talk about. I
was able to present without notecards or any type of
prompts, other than PowerPoint.
I kept my audience involved and I kept their attention
to the end. I even had audience participation! Go
figure. I felt like a winner!
Why not take this same mindset into interviews?!
I'll start doing individual company research using the
tools you suggest. It is a more sensible, proactive
approach. I feel empowered and somewhat in control
already.
Your help is much appreciated.
Warmest Regards,
Bernadette Butler |

Hi Mr Joe,
Thank you for the free e course.
Undoubtedly they are all really informative, interesting and useful
esp the tips relating to the use of keywords in the resume and the
advantage of being the last person to be interviewed.
Let me also thank you for the attached mail below which shows that
your aim is not about making money but genuinely helping out job
seekers like me.
With warm regards,
